SNETP, its 3 pillars NUGENIA, ESNII and NC2I in collaboration with EERA-JPNM organize this event. The FORUM will start firstly with a plenary session on 22 April afternoon. Then, 8 technical sessions follow on the second day. Finally the plenary session of the third day will be the occasion to wrap up the content of the technical discussions and get to know the outcome of the Young Generation Award Challenge. A number of side meetings are already envisaged: of NUGENIA Technical areas, EERA-JPNM working group, and NC2I Task Force will take place before and after the FORUM, on 22 April morning and 24 April afternoon.

CAEN at SNETP forum 2020

CAEN SyS has been invited to the SNETP forum 2020 to present the MICADO project.

The goal of the MICADO project is firstly to propose a cost-effective solution for non-destructing characterization of nuclear waste.

Secondly, the project aims to implement a digitization process that could become a referenced standard facilitating and harmonizing the methodology used for the in-field Waste Management and Dismantling and Decommissioning operations. In fact, the Decommissioning and Dismantling process of nuclear infrastructures demands methods for a full traceability of waste material to improve quality management and operational safety. Precise procedures provide twofold benefits: Firstly the optimization of costs, associated with Decommissioning and Dismantling ; and secondly the minimization of the dose exposure to operators and personnel.

CAEN SyS is the project coordinator of MICADO and during the SNETP 2020 will show all the details of this idea
